The Burton Cartel is a performance snowboard binding developed by Burton. It has a rigid fiberglass and nylon frame for a light, strong and rigid result, while its spoiler is simply made of nylon to keep it flexible in torsion. It is firm, but will still deform if you press hard which allows you to maintain comfort.
Be careful, this version of the Cartel has a Re:Flex base designed to be mounted on a traditional snowboard interface (4X4 or 4X2) but not on a Burton The Channel interface.
What is the program of the Burton Cartel snowboard binding?
The Burton Cartel offers an excellent energy transmission thanks to its robust frame, but it remains a light binding and not too radical. Thus, it maintains a freestyle spirit with its spoiler of rather flat shape to maintain lateral freedom of movement. You can tweak grabs and go jibbing in the park without feeling too constrained, as long as you have the right technique and power. On the other hand, you benefit from a very good control and a good reactivity to perfectly master your descents. Finally, the open-work straps provide optimal support without pain points.
Who is the Burton Cartel snowboard binding for?
It is intended for advanced to expert snowboarders looking for a powerful but freestyle oriented binding. It will suit snowboarders who send on the big tables of the park as well as snowboarders who ride everywhere but like to place tricks.
